Camp FAQs
Family Camp starts on Saturday with a light evening program focused on the daily Bible readings. Arriving during daylight is best, as it will definitely help with setting up your site and getting acquainted with camp.
Sunday, is when we hold the memorial service. This day has more free time, which will allow you to visit others and finish setting up your site for the week ahead. This is also a good day to invite people to your site for lunch and dinner throughout the week.
Yes. If you plan to leave the Bible Camp, please let the designated committee member know. In case of emergency, we need to know who has left the camp.
The weather on the Island may be anywhere from rainy and cold to hot and dry. Normally the weather is cooler in the morning, warms up beautifully in the afternoon (as long as it dosen’t rain), and then cools off in the evening again. We recommend coming prepared with rain gear, warm clothes for the evening (including long sleeves to keep the bugs off you), and cooler clothes for those hot times during the day.
Yes, you will need to provide your family with 7 breakfasts, 7 lunches, and 6 dinners. If you know of other families going, it can be fun to plan a meal together!
You need to have clear garbage bags to put all your garbage (trash) into. Your garbage must be separated into cans, glass, plastic, cardboard and then everything else.
The Ontario Government requires anyone who fishes to purchase a fishing license – available in Mindemoya at the Hardware Store.
The “general store” is available if you need your basics of milk, bread and ice. Plus they may be willing to go to town and get you other specific needs, but don’t forget to pay your bill. The store also has great treats for the kids and young at heart, like candy bars and freezies. So don’t forget to bring your money with you.

This is a savanger hunt picnic for those 0 to 6 years old. Please bring a stuffed animal for your child, if you wish to participate.
We ask that all campers be at their own campsite by 10:45 pm and lights out by 11:45 pm.
